Published Sept. 26, 2019

The U.S. Army Engineering and Support Center, Huntsville’s Energy Division awarded $21 million Blanket Purchase Agreement Sept. 25 to provide resource efficiency managers at U.S. military installations in Europe.

Huntsville Center’s Resource Efficiency Manager Program increases installation energy program effectiveness by identifying programs and practices to reduce energy and water costs through a contracted subject-matter expert.

A blanket purchase agreement is a simplified acquisition method used to fill anticipated repetitive needs for supplies or services. The BPA was awarded to Energy Engineering & Consulting Services LLC, a HubZone-certified Veteran Owned Small Business based in Swayzee, Indiana.  Energy Engineering & Consulting Services specializes in identifying low cost opportunities for increasing energy efficiency.

The REMs assigned to the European-based installations will develop site energy programs to secure resources for sustainability and renewable energy assets.
