Huntsville Center awards $450 million facility repair, renewal contract

The U.S. Army Engineering and Support Center, Huntsville awarded the Facility Repair & Renewal (FRR) VI, Design-Build Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity Multiple Award Task Order Contract to 21 businesses (four 8A, seven small and 10 unrestricted) with a shared capacity of $450 million.

The pool of contractors will provide a rapid response for facility repair, renovation, conversion, and alteration; and facility subsystem additions, construction, equipment procurement/installation at Government installations and facilities around world. The total period of performance is five years from the date of award.

Huntsville’s Facilities Repair and Renewal program offers a fast-track, efficient method for design and execution of all types of facility repairs, renovations and minor construction. This program is available to all U.S. Army Corps of Engineers districts and their customers as part of the command’s “One Door to the Corps” policy.

The FRR team’s innovative approach to construction provides expedient and appropriate execution of high priority projects in all 50 states plus U.S. territories and overseas locations.
