Facility Technology Integration Division - High Performance Computing

The U.S. Army Engineering and Support Center, Huntsville, Facility Technology Integration Division’s High Performance Computing (HPC) Program supports the Department of Defense's High Performance Computing Modernization Program (HPCMP) through the annual procurement of HPC systems (supercomputers), award and maintenance of key contracts that support the Defense Research & Engineering Network (DREN), and support for all other required acquisition activities.

Key contracts include:

  • Technology Insertions ($240M) - Provides annual procurement of HPC systems (supercomputers), totaling 31 PetaFLOP/s in computational capability and 99 PetaBytes in directly attached storage to date
  • HPC Integrated Technical Services Unrestricted ($600M) – Provides all critical IT infrastructure and services to support the supercomputers
  • HPC Integrated Technical Services Restricted ($240M) – Provides highly technical Network Operating Center (NOC) and software development.
