Civilian Deputy to the Commander

Laura Beth Quick is currently the acting civilian deputy to the commander of the U.S. Army Engineering and Support Center, Huntsville.  Prior to the deputy commander position, Quick was Huntsville Center’s Human Capital Manager, leading the Human Capital Office for the last five years. Prior to that role, she was part of the Installation Support and Programs Management Director’s Office for nine years performing a variety of assignments in areas to include project delivery business process, internal management controls, process improvements, strategic engagement initiatives, and operating budget.  In that assignment, she was also appointed as the DoD Facilities Engineering Functional Integrated Project Team manager, executing the DoD program on behalf of the Tier 2 SES Functional Leader. She began her career with Huntsville Center in the Executive Office in 2001. She also worked in the Business Management Office as it was established in 2005. Quick has a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Athens State University and has legacy Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act certifications in the Program Management and Facilities Engineering fields.
