USACE garners 2016 FEMP award
The U.S. Army team received this year’s Federal Energy Management Program Director’s Award for executing over $1 billion in performance contracts leading all federal agencies in the Presidents Performance Contracting Challenge of $4 billion by 2016 at the ceremony Dec. 7, 2016, in Washington, D.C. Receiving the award are Randy Shed, Office of Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army for Energy and Sustainability; Randy Smidt, Office of Assistant Chief of Staff for Installation Management; Margaret Simmons, U.S. Army Engineering and Support Center Huntsville; Katherine Hammack, Assistant Secretary of the Army for Installations, Energy and Environment; Pamela Griffith, Defense Logistics Agency-Energy; Michael Norton, U.S. Army Engineering and Support Center, Huntsville; and David Williams, Headquarters, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
