The $6.1 million Fort Bliss, Texas, Child Development Center opened in March 2013. Huntsville Center's Center of Standardization team provided standard design criteria, oversight, review and assistance for the project. One of eight Centers of Standardization for Army facilities, Huntsville Center COS is responsible for standardization of fitness centers, child development and youth activity centers, emergency service and fire stations and training and firing ranges, as well as urban assault courses.
