Fort Buchanan, Puerto Rico - One of two wind turbines on Fort Buchanan stands next to one of its many solar installations. The two wind turbines will produce an estimated 5 percent of the energy consumed by the installation, and a total of 21,824 solar photovoltaic panels will produce about 5.5 megawatts of power, which is at least 60 percent of the installation’s current power demand at its peak production.
