Huntsville Center contract supports Defense Health Agency

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. -- The U.S. Army Engineering and Support Center, Huntsville, has awarded a $90,000,000 (base and four -12 month options), Single Award Task Order Contract to Government Marketing and Procurement, LLC a service disabled veteran owned small business located in Wimberley, Texas.

GMP, LLC will be responsible for the deployment, installation, setup, configuration, and training of the Vocera Wireless Hands-Free Internal Communication System within Defense Health Agency medical facilities in the contiguous United States, its territories and locations to include the Republic of Korea, State of Japan, the Federal Republic of Germany and the Italian Republic. 

This procurement of equipment and services will facilitate the establishment of a standard process across the DHA’s enterprise allowing for cybersecurity horizontal and vertical communication across the continuum of health care while simultaneously alleviating duplication of effort and minimizing risk to the local area networks at each DHA facility.

The Vocera WHICS is also designed with an anti-microbial material, meaning that it is sterile enough to be utilized throughout various healthcare delivery environments aiding in efforts to improve clinical workflow and patient safety at the touch of a button.
