Huntsville Center awards $800 million Aqueous Film Forming Foam support services contract

The U.S. Army Engineering and Support Center, Huntsville awarded an $800 million Aqueous Film Forming Foam (AFFF) Support Services Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC). It is the first AFFF MATOC for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Huntsville Center and was awarded 30 days ahead of schedule.

The objective of the AFFF Support Services MATOC is to procure services for the removal and disposal of AFFF from various installations and replace with a new military specification (MIL-SPEC) due to heightened environmental concerns.

Support includes the contractor removing, disposing, and replacing all of the foam containing perfluoroalkyl substances from the existing fire protection systems on Government installations.

This MATOC will be used to continue the execution of mission assignments and support Huntsville Center in its role as a USACE Environmental and Munitions Support Center. The work is intended to support installations located throughout the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii, the U.S. Territories, U.S. Territorial waters and outlying areas as defined by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 2.101. The period of performance is a five-year ordering period consisting of 24 months for the base ordering period and three 12-month optional ordering periods.

The MATOC’s nine awardees are: AF3 Services, LLC, Fleming, NJ; APTIM Federal Services, LLC, Baton Rouge, La.; Arcadis U.S., Inc. Highlands Ranch, Colo.; Dawson Solutions, LLC, Huntsville, Ala.; Environmental Chemical Corporation, Burlingame, Calif.; Hydrogeologic, Inc., Reston, Va.; SES Civil and Environmental, LLC, Mobile, Ala.; Tetra Tech EC, Huntsville, AL; USAE-Tidewater JV, LLC, Oldsmar, Fla.
