The U.S. Army Engineering and Support Center, Huntsville, is conducting its 14th annual Small Business Forum, 9 a.m.-noon, Nov. 7, at the University of Alabama, Huntsville’s University Center.
Rebecca Vucinaj, Huntsville Center Small Business Office Chief, said the event is an opportunity for small business representatives to talk with contracting officials and program managers from Huntsville Center about the Center’s programs and quite possibly small business representatives from the Corps of Engineers Nashville and Mobile districts.
“Our annual event generates a lot of excitement! We start with covering regulation changes over the past year that effected small business concerns and highlight upcoming procurements,” Vucinaj said. “This is an excellent networking opportunity. Many small business firms with similar interests meet and often team together to go after some of the Center’s larger procurements.”
Vucinaj also said larger business representatives looking for small businesses to support their subcontracting goals are also in attendance.
Vucinaj said the biggest procurement opportunities for small business concerns during FY14 will be support for the following programs: Utility Monitoring and Control Systems; Energy Savings Performance, Worldwide Environmental Remediation Services, Medical Operations and Maintenance Engineering Enhancement Unrestricted, High Performance Computing Integrated Technical Services, Medical Initial Outfitting and Transition Services, and Design Build Repair & Renewal Services.
Pre-registration is open for the Small Business Forum and is highly encouraged to help ensure appropriate representation of subject matter experts. Registration is free with information available on the Web at http://www.hnc.usace.army.mil/BusinessWithUs/SmallBusiness.aspx. If you have questions or comments, please send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
“This event is contingent on fiscal matters being resolved,” Vucinaj said. “Please routinely check the Center’s website for any updates or cancelation notices.”
