Huntsville Center awards contract supporting international clean-up

The U.S. Army Engineering and Support Center, Huntsville, awarded a $950 million shared capacity multiple award task order contract (MATOC) in support of the international environmental remediation services, Sept.6.

The MATOC pool total capacity will be shared among four large and three small businesses awardees.

The large businesses are: AECOM Technical Services Inc., Janus Global Operations LLC, Parsons-Versar LLC, and Tetra Tech EC, Inc. The small businesses are: Conti-USA Environmental Joint Venture, Global Environmental & Munition Services LLC, and Relyant Global LLC.

The contract will provide services to safely locate, identify, recover, evaluate, manage and make final disposition of munitions and explosives of concern, munitions constituents, chemical warfare materiel, biological waste and biological warfare materiel, and hazardous, toxic and radiological waste.

The contract also calls for implementation of environmental compliance measures and other munitions related support services as well as to reduce Department of Defense conventional munitions stockpiles at sites where the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is tasked to include foreign jurisdictions and other federally controlled/owned sites.

Work will be done primarily at international locations to include, but not to limited to Republic of Korea, Lebanon, Iraq, Afghanistan, and Poland.
