    Aaron Renfro, a Huntsville Center employee who serves as the construction lead at the Blue Grass Chemical Agent-Destruction Pilot Plant in Richmond, Kentucky, recently earned his Certified Construction Manager designation.

    Huntsville Center architect helps fellow employee’s family in PR

    Like many members of the U.S. Army Engineering and Support Center, Huntsville, who have been deploying to help residents of hurricane-ravaged Puerto Rico, Neriah Holly volunteered to help people he didn’t know. But less than a day before his departure in early November, an unexpected request from a fellow employee made his mission a lot more personal.

    Martin named new ISPM director

    Martin began his U.S. Army Corps of Engineers career in the Mobile District’s Construction Division in 1986. In addition to Mobile District, Martin worked in Savannah District before joining Huntsville Center in August 1999 working in the Mechanical-Electrical Division of the Center’s Engineering Directorate.

    Center recognized for contribution to small business communities

    The U.S. Army Engineering and Support Center, Huntsville (Huntsville Center) Office of Small Business Programs (OSBP) received three Top Dollar awards at the annual Small Business Conference in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Nov. 15-17.

    Jason Moore, a Huntsville Center Systems Engineer, hasn’t let a debilitating muscular disease or even cancer get the best of him. During National Disability Employment Awareness Month, Moore was recognized with the 2017 Secretary of Defense Award for Outstanding Department of Defense Civilian Employees with Disabilities.

    For the last seven years, Jason Moore has worked at the U.S. Army Engineering and Support Center, Huntsville as an information technology specialist for the Center’s management review office. He loves his job, which involves supporting a high priority, multi-million dollar, classified network.With all his degrees and certifications, and because he works in IT, most people would Moore is a geek.He’s a self-proclaimed geek, but not your typical geek. He’s not your typical coworker either.

    Center deputy commander Emery retires after more than 20 years of service

    Although most of his career was spent with the company, battalion and brigade side of Army engineering, Lt. Col. Burlin Emery said one of the greatest challenges he’s had during his Army career was serving as Huntsville Center’s deputy commander since 2015. Emery said his assignment here has also been one of the most rewarding.

    Benson aids others on wellness journey

    Dee Benson wants you to have a life of longevity filled with great physical and spiritual health. Each Monday and Thursday, here at Huntsville Center, she helps willing coworkers to achieve those goals. Benson, Business Practices Chief in the Business Management Office, leads a lunch time class from 12:30 -1:15 p.m. in the fitness center designed to improve an individual’s physical health.
