    Huntsville Center workshop good for taxpayers, environment

    Resource efficiency managers from around the world attended Huntsville Center’s REM workshop in Huntsville, Alabama, Feb. 26-28. Huntsville Center’s REM program provides contracted subject-matter experts to Department of Defense branch installations to increase energy program effectiveness by identifying programs and practices to reduce energy and water costs and meet resilience and security requirements.

    Army’s first resource efficiency manager workshop filled with passion for energy management

    The Army’s first Resource Efficiency Manager (REM) Workshop was April 15-17 on Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. Huntsville Center, which manages the REM program, hosted the event to enhance the knowledge base of the growing network of REMs across the Army and Army Reserve.

Newly assigned to the Army Reserve's 63rd RSC, Bradley brings more than 20 years of energy related commercial, industrial and defense experience, with special focus on heating, ventilating and air conditioning and energy management control system technologies, to help the command meet its energy goals.

    The Army’s Resource Efficiency Manager Program grew 82 percent in fiscal year 2014 with the addition of 19 REMs, which includes 11 new REMs at Army Reserve locations.
